Batchley Youth Action Development Project

Who are we?

Batchley Support Group (BSG) is a neighbourhood membership association and a charitable company limited by guarantee, working on behalf of the residents of Batchley.

We recognised the lack of youth provision in Batchley so applied to v, the youth volunteering charity to fund us a vinvolved project.

Who is v?

The charity v set up the National Youth Volunteering Programme, which aims to inspire 500,000 young people aged 16-25 to get positively involved in their communities. It replaced the successful Millennium Volunteers programme in England and aims to increase the amount and improve the quality and diversity of volunteer opportunities for young people.

What does Batchley Youth Action Development Project do?

It supports young people to experience short term and part-time volunteer opportunities through taster sessions and community projects. We will also support young people who wish to lead their own community based project.

Who do we work with?

We landed funding to specifically work with any young person aged 16-25 living in Batchley, a small community in Redditch, Worcestershire.
