Batchley Support Group [BSG] is a community based neighbourhood association

Batchley Support Group [BSG] is a community based neighbourhood association (registered charity and company limited by guarantee) which aims to build resident participation and involvement in community activities, advance social inclusion and lifelong learning, reduce inequalities in health, and to speak up for Batchley. The objects of BSG are those of a voluntary community based organisation working on behalf of the residents of Batchley, a locality within the borough of Redditch in the county of Worcestershire.

Batchley Support Group aims to empower local people by building resident participation and involvement in community activities, promoting regeneration and access to services, reducing inequalities in health, advancing social inclusion and lifelong learning and campaigning on local issues. The BSG Management Committee and BSG members are all local Batchley residents.

BSG’s current range of projects includes:

  • a Community Café in partnership with New College
  • a Breakfast Club
  • a youth club in partnership with Redditch Borough Council

  • and we are preparing a large bid to purchase a key local venue and develop it into a world class youth facility that will be known as the Batchley Youth Foundation
